Changes between two versions of a page

Changes between two versions of a page can be displayed either by clicking the Changes link in the banner of any page, or using the form at the end of the History page.

Clicking the Changes link displays the changes between the last version and the current version of the page. Changes are displayed by showing the source for the Wiki page, colored as follows:

Text that was inserted between the two versions is displayed in blue.
Text that was deleted between the two versions is displayed in red and strikethru.
Text that was changed between the two versions is displayed as an insertion of the new text and a deletion of the old text.

Changes are computed on a line by line basis. If the category or description of the page was changed, the change appears in a section at the beginning of the page.

Clicking the Changes link in a page that shows the changes between version v1 and v2 brings the page with the changes between version v1 - 1 and v1. Therefore, a complete reverse history of the changes to a page can be viewed by repeatedly clicking the Changes link.

Another way to display changes is to use the form at the end of the History page or at the end of a page that display changes. This form allows you to display the changes between any two versions of a page. Just enter the two version numbers in the text entry fields and click the Changes button. Note that some versions of the page may have been removed by the site administrator and may therefore be unavailable.

Note: the Changes link should not be confused with the Recent Changes link that also appears in the banner of every page and shows the list of recently changed pages.
