Access control

Defining the access control policy of a site

The default access control policy is that everybody can access any page of the server, except for the server and site administration pages.

This policy can be changed by specifying:

• specific access by a host or a family of hosts
• specific access based on user/password authentication

• read: access pages for reading, including the site map.
• edit: edit existing pages.
• create: create new pages.
• history: access previous versions of a page (history), access the recent changes page, display changes between versions of a page.
• admin: access the site administration page.
